UI/UX Case Study: The Law Society Pro Bono Services (LSPBS) Redesign Website Userinterface.
Hello, I’m Eko Sutrisno. I’m a UI/UX Enthusiast and I’m currently working at MGG Software LTD. This case study is the last task I have completed.
Overview
Today I will tell you about our collaboration with Law Society Pro Bono Services (LSPBS). LSPBS is a registered charity in Singapore.
Below I will describe all the creative stages of redesigning the Law Society Pro Bono Services (LSPBS) website design interface.
The UI/UX Design team from MGG Software LTD in this project consisted of me and Mamlu’atul Hikmah.
Client
The Pro Bono Services Office is an initiative of the Law Society of Singapore to help provide free legal aid to those in need in our community. This is part of the stated mission of the Law Society to ensure access to justice for all.
LSPBS provides legal services to the community and organizations. The service in the form of:
(1) Legal information through e-publications, videos, podcasts, webinars and other digital content;
(2) Legal advice through a one-time legal consultation with a lawyer; and
(3) Legal representation through the assignment of a lawyer to assist the recipient during that person’s legal troubles.
This case study is devoted to the design section. This job is to build an efficient and up-to-date website.
Roles & Responsibilities
In this Last project, I did end-to-end UX research, made UX Design, UI Design, and did Usability Testing.
Design Process
LSPBS team came to us well-prepared: they had already considered the basic website structure and page blocks as well as had UX wireframes and text content for the pages. Together, we reconsidered the user flows and interactions, MGG Software LTD UI/UX Team offered the usability improvements, yet in general, most wireframes were well-structured from the very start.

Problem
The problem with the previous website interface design concept is that it doesn’t look neat, it’s very rigid. Users will get lost when they can’t find what they ordered on the main page.

with the dropdown feature on the navigation bar that has a lot of options will feel ineffective.

Ideate
The UI/UX Design team always takes a website design approach based on some research that produces a visual solution that will be very effective and efficient for users.
In the design of the new website interface which looks very tense with the red color. The UI/UX Design team agreed to change it to dark blue which symbolizes trust, tranquility and orange which symbolizes warmth.

The erratic and distracting navigation no longer makes users feel troubled or lost.
The interface design this time looks fresher and more contemporary. User needs will be easily obtained with the Search feature that we highlight. Likewise with the offers of assistance that we convey more clearly on the main page and the What’s New section so that our event gallery can access them from the main page.
Conclusion
The conclusion that I can draw from the process of working on this last project is how to learn more about the user. I learned a lot how to design something centered on the wants and needs of the user. In addition, I also realized that what I have in mind is not necessarily what the user wants. From this project, I realized that working on end-to-end UI/UX cases is not an easy job and takes a lot of time. I hope that the experience I gained while working on this last project can be useful when I work in a place looking for new experiences.
