Embarking on a similar journey recently, I’m also bootstrapping developer tools. I started off solo and have had a tough time shipping and staying motivated. There is a peace and freedom with tackling things yourself. Being the only decision maker. Not having to justify decisions to others. The master of your own domain! It’s also lonely at times. Adding solid team mates a few months ago made a big difference. The solo road is a grind and I think you’ll most likely fair better than I, but if you ever need someone to commiserate with feel free to reach out.
