It’s been 19 months since I became a mother. A full-time, stay-at-home, breastfeeding mother. I’ve learned so many things now and my eyes have been opened to the world called motherhood.

Before becoming a mom, I had very different and unfortunately, wrong ideas about it. Like, it’s all rainbows and unicorns when you have a baby. That labor will probably be easier than what’s shown in the movies — one big push and the baby will be out. That life will be filled with laughs and giggles.

The days are long, but the years are short. There are some things in life that should never be forgotten — like your children’s milestones.

1st Week — Navi was admitted in the Neonatal ICU during his first 6 days of life because of low blood sugar, transient tachypnea of the newborn, not being able to thermoregulate, fluid in his lungs, and jaundice. Only started breastfeeding on the 3rd day. Baby had a good latch and mommy had lots of milk!

2nd week—First time to take a bath. First time to go out of the house (for my OB-GYN appointment)…
