The closed alpha test of our game is drawing nearer, and the closer it gets, the more background information on the amazing world of Eladrea we want to share with you.
In the following article, we will focus on the continent of Eladrea, its peculiarities, and the setting of the game events.
The climate of Eladrea is rather diverse. This large continent includes many regions, from the sprawling palms and deep forests to the south, to the frozen mountain peaks to the north. This rapid change in the weather pattern is caused not only by the size of the continent but also by the crystals of Fea. Each monument emits infinite energy and influences the surrounding areas.
Fea is the most valuable thing in this World. According to the ancient legends, it was a gift from the Goddess Illádri to the inhabitants of Eladrea. Fea is the source of life and energy for all living things.
The natives of Eladrea have long since mastered the gift of Illadri. They collect and study crystals from small deposits scattered throughout the territory to use them in their magical rituals and medicine.
Around Fea, nature is flourishing with lush forests or flocks of beasts and birds. This influence is well known and often the inhabitants limit the use of such clusters so as not to upset the balance. At the same time, they benefit from the power of the crystals — people hunt wild animals, cultivate fields and raise their children in harmony with the surrounding nature.
The Eladraeans do not bother to even come close to the monuments. Deadly dangers can befall anyone who wants to approach them. And, if someone ever tries to abuse their powers, the Kiri know the answer to the question “what will it bring? Their legends, whispered by the spirits of the forest, say that the monuments can take the life of a fool who would dare encroach on their power.
Thus, the beautiful lush foliage and palm oases, enveloped by the warm bay of the sea and sunlight are the results of the southern monument’s influence. The groves wrapped in lianas and obscured by tree crowns are subject to the influence of the central crystal. And the distant lands near the Great Sea, covered with snow almost all year round, were nurtured and kept strong by the northern Fea source.
The natives of Eladrea maintain a quiet, measured way of life. They are bogged down in their cares, and only occasionally assist or trade with their distant neighbors.
Many different races live here, and all of them coexist in peace and harmony, just as the goddess Illadri wished.
In the coldest part of the continent, in the mountains and gorges reside the Dranwei. These short, stocky dwarves are the finest craftsmen in all of Eladrea.
To the south lie the glorious cities of Selanar, one of the oldest races, guarding its lands and customs ruthlessly.
To the east reign the Hakirs and the Kiri. Lizards and numerous forest dwellers honor nature and almost do not interfere in the matters of other inhabitants of these lands.
The game events unfold several thousand years after the great war which is only occasionally mentioned in the ancient scrolls. The natives of Eladrea have enjoyed peace and harmony all this time, using and studying the crystals of Fea.
For more than two thousand years, peace reigned in the lands of Eladrea. But everything changed in one terrible moment, the darkest for all the inhabitants.
From uncharted lands beyond the distant seas, intruders have come, drawn by different goals, but united by one commonality — their arrival unleashed wars, death, and chaos upon the land of Eladrea
From across the Great Sea to the north the Nordres landed, ruthless and fearless warriors, drawn by an ancient prophecy.
And in the southern part of the continent, not far from Selanar’s domain, arrived other uninvited guests — the Illumis.
The time has come for the natives of Eladrea to protect their homeland and the sacred Fea monuments.
In the following articles, we will introduce the first faction available for playing, the Nordres — the harsh savages wielding the secret of steel smelting.
