I love really everything about this article. It encompasses how designers and teams *should* work together. And I especially love the examples you gave on how to have conversations that make team members feel heard without compromising your expertise as a designer.

I’m sure you’re aware that not every company is as open to these conversations. Even though the examples you gave are how the conversations should go, I can see them ending poorly with certain “decision makers”. And not everyone can simply resign over it. It entirely depends on your financial position and the opportunities available to you at that point. I think there are a lot of UX designers out there that are completely capable of having these conversations to alter the workflow, but just cannot because it would mean jeopardizing a job. So compromises happen.
