When you stare at the wide sky and still miss it!

It’s my second day at the new office. I always wanted to play a significant role in the growth of the organisation I belong to, the ambitious me! I love meeting new people and becoming friends with them.

This place is all I wanted, the energy of frugal founders is sufficient to fuel any employee to look beyond the pockets. Freedom is the culture here and leadership is an habit. It all seems like this particular place is designed for me, slowly becoming to be my kind of thing.

I’m supposed to be super excited for all the good reasons, but something else is running in my mind and heart, which just cannot appreciate the surrounding. Yes! like every other man who is separated from his lady love, I’m as well missing my girl and feeling her absence, which is why I just can’t live in the present and enjoy.

She always wanted me to be successful in my career, despite being a very proficient developer herself, she quit her job to take care of our son. It was as though her professional dreams were thrust upon me and me being a champion at work is all she wanted. Interestingly, we fell for each other only when our dreams of starting up our own venture crossed lines.

Sharing a common interest looked very perfect as it helped us build upon our relationship, she slowly grew up to be a woman whom I respect the most for the kind of character and behavioural discipline she had under luring situations.

She filled every space in every aspect of my life that I left empty. She made me look complete. And she became the purpose of my living.

With such abundance love, why am I not with her? Why am I missing her? Whenever we fight she used to tell if ever I know the answers for my questions she wouldn’t be taking the pain of telling things in a hard way to me.

Did I tell you? Yes, her name is Elaine and I’m Arrick. And it’s world entrepreneurship day today and so I thought I will wish her using this Medium :)

I still fall for you everyday, Elaine!
