Thank you so much for your article. I was (and still am) devastated that Hillary was not elected. I cried for days because I knew my dream to help elect the first woman president would not ever be realized. But instinctively I knew it wasn’t just about Hillary. It was about me, about my daughter and my granddaughter still having to face the misogyny that has plagued us for centuries. I have been urging women to band together and vote as a block for years now. I feel like I’m screaming into the void. Some days I despair. Other days my feisty self awakens and I resume my scream into the void. I use this old Chinese saying a lot: When sleeping women wake, mountains move.”
