They need to study the affects of heavy metals on the immune system. Some metals can cause long term immune activation like lead, cadmium, copper, aluminum and uranium! They know aluminum has been associated with Alzheimer's and I have read that many metals are linked to Parkinson’s and I think they will find it linked to all brain disorders! It isn’t just bacteria and viruses that cause immune system over activity!
