I enjoyed reading your post and I feel the theory I picked goes right along with yours as mine had some of the same social thinkers involved. I chose the conflict theory and historical materialism definitely goes hand in hand with it. There have been many conflicts in history where different parties involved have looked to gain resources and materials to feed that materialistic need.
