The TP-Link wireless outdoor CPE device can help you get access to seamless internet access across large distances. Some outdoor CPE models such as the CPE210 are capable of adjusting the transmission power to meet varied internet access needs. You can optimize the network settings for more than 5km range transmission and control everything using the PharOS Control wizard online. TP-Link outdoor CPE setup- the process

To begin the Tp-link CPE setup process, unbox the contents in the package and make sure you have the following available:

● The PharOS CPE device

● A power cord

● Pole mounting straps

● Passive PoE Adapter

● Mounting bracket with wall anchors and screws

● An installation guide

Beginning with the TP-Link CPE setup

Start by making the device connections as shown in the image below.

● Connect your TP-Link wireless outdoor CPE setup to the power adapter. Also, connect the computer to the adapter using another LAN cable.

● Connect the power cable to the power adapter and then plug it into the power outlet. Turn on the power supply.

● Now, mount your Tp-link CPE setup at the selected site. You can ground the outdoor CPE device to protect it from lightning and other weather issues.

Once the hardware setup is complete, you can proceed to the network configuration part easily.

TP-link outdoor CPE login

● Before you access the tp-link CPE login page, you’ll need to assign a static IP address to your computer.

● Now, open a web browser and type in the default web address http://192.168.0.254 into the address field and press Enter. This will now direct you to the Tp-Link outdoor CPE login page.

● In the admin username and password fields you see on the page, type ‘admin’ and click on the Login button.

● Change the default username and password details to protect your CPE device from unauthorized access.

Configuring the Access Point

● Log in to the PharOS web interface and head to the TP-Link wireless outdoor CPE setup page from the screen.

● In the Operation Mode section, select Access Point and click on the Next button.

● From the LAN Settings option, click on the Next button again.

● Now, in the Wireless AP Settings, create a new SSID for your network and select WPA-PSK/WPA2-PSK as the security method. Also, create a PSK password to protect your access point.

● Type in the distance between the access point and the client in the Distance Setting field. Select the radio button next to MAXStream and click on the Next button.

● Verify the settings and click on the Finish button to complete the TP-Link outdoor CPE setup process.

Configuring the Client

● Login to the PharOS web interface and head to the Quick Setup page.

● In the Operation Mode section, select Client and click on the Next button.

● From the LAN Settings menu, change the IP address and subnet to the same values as the access point and click on the Next button.

● In the Wireless Client Settings section, click on the Survey button and select the SSID of the access point in the AP list and click on the Connect button.

● Select WPA-PSK/WPA2-PSK as the encryption protocol and type in a PSK password and the distance of the access point. Click on the Next button now.

● Verify the settings now and click on the Finish button to complete the TP-Link CPE setup process.
