The only thing I can say is bravo for this response. I understood what she meant, but it still causes a divide. I’m sick of hearing that white people are out to steal everything and I’m sick of hearing that black people are all thugs. WHEN ARE WE FINALLY GOING TO LIKE OR DISLIKE, TRUST OR NOT TRUST a person by the way they treat us, live their lives, etc.??? I KNOW the world is not perfect and perhaps I’m living in a fantasy life, but to say that one does not see color should not be taken as an offensive comment. I know that when I say that, I mean that I will like/love you, laugh with you, at you sometimes, listen to your woes, hold your hand, give you a shoulder to cry on, etc. JUST BECAUSE YOU ARE HUMAN and my sister or brother in Christ. It CAN be that easy at some point. We just have to keep working at it. There CAN be peace, there CAN be happiness, there CAN be love. Thank you for such an eloquent and beautiful response.
