We Ask Ourselves
Throughout upbringing we are always faced with the question of what could have been, and never what should have been. There is definitely a difference between the two. One deals with a question and the other deals with fact. A lot of our lives are based upon fact, we are living, breathing, fleshy beings with the expansive capacity for never ending knowledge, In a way you would think we would ask why something isn't and why it should, or why it is this way because you can find reasons from the past to create a conclusion of what lead to what is the present.
In the end though we always dwell on what could have been. What could have been always to seem out of power, out of our capacity or impossible. In fact i believe now that if we talk about what could have been we set ourselves up for a larger problem, the waiting for something to fix itself, the fog to clear, for everything to be returned to what it was.
Time is linear and moving forwards with such momentum there is never a going back, nothing is renewable, nothing is infinite, once energy is used it ceases to exist. Except in one special case that defies the basic laws of nature. Its the ability to recall the past with our mind, places, events, people, all as we remember them, or choose to remember them.
I’m Going to stop right here
For what its worth to anyone reading this look forward, care for yourself and those within reach and don’t let those worthwhile get out of site. Don’t dwell on regret, there is never going back. Move forward and try to make life work for yourselves and let the others learn what you have learned.
