The deal.
So here is the deal. I understand that a lot of people are making new resolutions that they likely won’t be able to keep. I’ve done it in the past. I’ll probably do it in the future.
One of the biggest things that needs to happen in 2014 is getting in better physical shape.
It really isn't that hard to figure out. My lifestyle hasn’t been overly structured or healthy in the past 6 months.
I don’t get outside of my office enough. I don’t eat overly well. I drink to many calories. And various other little things…
What Does This Mean?
It means that starting Thursday morning I will be enrolling myself into a slow carb diet. Sure, I could start today… but I want to look back at January 1,2014 and say, that is the day that it all started.
If the new year is good for one thing it is that it gives a person a really good place to draw a line in the sand and change something.
The Slow Carb Diet.
Actually I don’t plan to dive right into the entire diet. I’ll start by changing things one by one.
To begin with I'll start eating 30g of protein within 30 minutes of waking up. From there… I’ll start watching what I eat. (Seriously, that is a pretty big deal for me. I usually don’t even think about it.)
One thing that I think is going to be important to making “this attempt” work, is actually tracking things. Like weight. Body measurements. What I’m eating. The whole nine yards. (Or at least 2 yards.)
In a few weeks I’ll look at how things are going and decide what else I need to change.
What are you changing?
So that is what I’m changing about myself to start with in 2014.
