Less Energy to Smile and 5 Random Acts of Kindness. You can do this!

Allegedly it takes less energy to smile than to frown. If you peruse the internet on this factoid, you will find many ambiguous nuggets of information debating both sides on how many muscles it takes to smile versus frown. I digress. From what I am currently writing, let’s assume it is valid for the sake of humanity to seek a positive narrative; it is easier to smile.

I am trying to justify the path of least resistance concerning curating positivity, precisely the essence of kindness. What the hell is happening with humanity? It seems nowadays that we are choosing to glorify ignorance, weaponize cruelty, and promote insanity, coupled with allowing the suffering of the human spirit, literally and figuratively, versus being kind to one another. Is it hard for us to be friendly and smile on and offline?

It’s not necessarily political. All sides identify with these harsh elements by showcasing the sheer meanness of their fellow brethren.

I do not have the intellectual stamina to cite examples of everything I am writing because it causes so much anxiety as an empath that it hurts to even think about any of this.

I am not seeking answers on why this is happening because I have zero confidence that society can resolve all this hate and cruelty, let alone seek…
