I live in Springdale just under a mile from where this event was held. You’re dead-on. Unfortunately the dominating perception is that it is wrong and evil to disagree with the left on many topics. They ignore that the blatant demonization of an opponent, any opponent, does more damage than that opponent can do themselves. If the left were to downplay rage and vitriol and instead encourage civil discourse they could fill seats in the house and senate far more easily.

People are rightfully inclined to shy away from embracing paralyzingly fear. As long as that’s what the left keeps sowing many moderate people will continue to distance themselves from uncomfortable displays of rage and easily recognizable twisting of facts.
