The Reason For My Presence Here
I considered writing this blog anonymously to see if it would encourage me to write my true feelings without fear of being judged, misunderstood or lost in a need to please my potential audience. But I decided to put myself out there. Let’s see how it goes!
Short Bio: My name’s Eleanor Riley. Live in Manchester, UK. 24 years old. Founder of a new charity called Made With Hope that aims to relieve poverty; which controls most of my life and I’m happy for it to do so. I also work part time in a very flexible but slightly mundane job just to tie me over.
I’m not the most outspoken person in the world, mainly due to lack of confidence. I am aware of this and aim to improve my ability to speak out; to spread awareness, challenge people and current systems and encourage change; solely because I feel this will help me relieve poverty much faster and far better. As you can probably tell already, my world tends to revolve around helping those in poverty. This is true. But I also want to challenge myself along the way to improve myself, understand others and take a journey into some sort of attempt at gaining my own version of enlightenment.
