Okay… This just scared me a little more, though I have no such experiences in extreme waters.

Go learn to swim. It is really mind expanding. My wife and I met swimming in college, we’ve been swimming together for 30 years. We swim sometimes 2 miles a day. Stay out of water you’re uncomfortable with, and don’t swim alone (without a competent partner).

The most dangerous thing is not knowing how to swim. What if someone you love falls into the water, if you can’t swim, you can only watch them drown. Swimming is mostly about being comfortable in the water, knowing how to move the water to get you where you want to go. There is really very little exertion required to swim once you are comfortable in the water.

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
