I hate to break it to you,. The seas have been rising for the past 11,700 years. At a fairly steady rate overall of about 3/4 of an inch each decade.
Despite all the hysteria (perhaps some hysterical people desperately need a …) that rate (3/4 inch per decade) hasn’t increased. You can examine the data yourself.
Or here from NOAA
The mean sea level trend is 2.39 millimeters/year with a 95% confidence
interval of +/- 0.43 mm/yr based on monthly mean sea level data from
1931 to 1981 which is equivalent to a change of 0.78 feet in 100 years
What I find truly amazing is just how hysterical people can get when they apparently don’t actually go and research the data. And aside from the real data, are the historical presidents. Such as the simple 16th century Netherlanders who believed that the world was flat, and that an invisible God ruled the universe . . . somehow those simple people could build levies with hand tools and buckets and keep out the rising seas which by the way have risen almost 5 feet since those days of the 16th century. Contrast that primitive knowledge with supposedly educated people who don’t apply the scientific process by critically examining the data. And somehow don’t realize that we have really good earth moving equipment.
