The article said “you are the average of the 5 people you surround yourself with.” If you happen to have been born wealthy, and learned the habits of wealthy people, then you probably learned some pretty good virtues.
As Machiavelli wrote there is fortune and virtues. If you were born well or won the lottery, that’s only half the game. Your virtues are the other half. Donald Trump was born wealthy, he proceeded to lose all that wealth and end up bankrupt. Did he turn into a cry-baby bankrupt loser? No, he got back up, dusted himself off, and went at it again. He’s worth ten times more than what his daddy left him. But his daddy left him with something more than money . . . the virtues required to succeed.
