Which states that the earth evolves through time, but the natural science which drives earth processes stays constant. Meaning that the physics is constant, the earth’s inputs are changing. 250 million years is not a long time geologically speaking. This was the beginning of the Mesozoic, the middle ages, the age of the reptiles. Today’s earth is very similar to Mesozoic earth.
