What about omnichannel across device and in-person shopping experiences, rather than just tablet, phone, and desktop?

Most people I know shop both online and in-store. Amazon, obviously recognized as being one of the leading trendsetters in personalization, has a physical store, with plans to create more. I think more and more stores will be following this trend, with an online and offline presence.

A truly powerful omnichannel experience would cross those barriers. Imagine synchronising data from on-line and off-line preferences, habits, orders. Customers could receive personalized vouchers and recommendations on their printed-out till receipts.
