That’s a good question—it seems too early to call the larger trend, but Pepsi reported a 40 percent decline in sales within city limits during these first two months, corresponding with a 1o to 15 percent increase in sales for nearby suburbs, the Philadelphia Business Journal reported. Those (very) initial results suggest that some folks are going outside the city, but more consumers are simply drinking less soda.
