How I designed my first mobile application “GoTrain” for Capstone of Interaction Design Specialization by Coursera
Many people want to lead a healthy lifestyle and get rid of their bad habits. But for various reasons they put it off. The main reasons are lack of motivation and lack of support from friends and loved ones. So how to find support and get on the healthy path?
Reflecting on these questions, I realized that my task is to design mobile application that facilitates interaction and communication between people who want to lead a healthy lifestyle.
My path was not easy and I had to go through several stages to achieve the final result. I will briefly list main stages which I had to go during the development of the mobile application «GoTrain».
- Needfinding.
2. Ideation and brainstorm.
3. Storyboards.
4. Paper prototypes.
5. Heuristic Evaluations.
Once my paper prototype was complete I conducted in person and online heuristic evaluations. The heuristic evaluations highlighted major problems and changes that needed to be made to the prototype.
6. Development Plan.
7. Prototypes.
8. A/B Test
In general terms, all the users expressed that the icons are adequate and most of the users expressed that the app needs the text aids
It was a difficult, but very valuable experience. Thanks to the Coursera for giving me this opportunity.
