I am excited for the Tesla Model 3 and for gigabit and for autopilot and for home batteries, but I don’t think any of the applications you are talking about need gigabit. They’ll work just fine over 50 mbps.

Once we start streaming VR worlds, on the other hand, gigabit will come in mighty useful.
