Amazing, intense, movie. But in a NYC theatre, the main attraction was gated by 25 minutes of previews. Literally 25 minutes. It will take an impossible number of Dunkirk’s to keep the theatre experience alive if the theatre operators believe 25 minutes of ads (previews) are a fair trade with the customer who has already spent $18 for the privilege. No online experience, no matter how ad ridden, attempts a similar trade. The more they abuse their customers trust, the more rapidly they’ll circle the drain of oblivion.
