Adam was not created for Eden, The Garden of Eden was created for him.

“The LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden, and there He put the man whom He had formed.”

‭‭Genesis‬ ‭2:8‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

You see, Eden wasn’t originally a garden, it was just an area located “Eastward”. And Adam wasn’t even created in Eden. But before God placed Adam there he planted a garden.

Can you imagine God after creating the heavens and the earth and every living thing in it, including man. For Six whole days He’s been putting in work and finally when the Seventh day comes around he takes a break. But then Monday morning comes, and He goes right back to work, but this time He’s planting a garden.

So, what is a garden?

A garden is a natural, beautiful, well organized, well thought out place with flowers, vegetables and fruits and it’s often near a house. Who plants a garden in the middle of nowhere? The Garden of Eden must have been located just right outside God’s house.

Can you imagine God putting together this garden for Adam? Thinking, “Adams’ gonna love this when he sees it.

How would you feel if the person who loves you not just got you a few flowers but instead planted you a whole garden?

God prepares and designs the places where He wants you to be.

He cares about your future, your surroundings and He wants good things for you.

Now of course you know how that story ended. Needless to say we are not in the Garden of Eden anymore. But God has not abandoned us, in-fact Jesus also tells of a place he is preparing for us, God’s house, the Fathers house….

“In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.”

‭‭John‬ ‭14:2‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

But I don’t think we have to wait until that promise in order to be in the place where God wants us to be. That’s because God is the God of yesterday, TODAY, and forever. Hebrews 13:8

So take a good look at your current situation and your surroundings, then ask yourself is this a place God has prepared for me? And if it’s not that means your missing out on something amazing. And a place that was planted and prepared for you is currently vacant and waiting your arrival. But if the place your in does appear to be a place God prepared for you, then Jesus is saying I got an even better place waiting for you.

From glory to glory,

Amen
