I can tell you, in Seattle, we’re going through our biggest building boom in history with all the folks who are opting out of Silicon Valley/SF’s housing and transportation debacle. As your region has chosen not to scale, other regions are eager to fill in that marketplace gap.

We’re building more housing in just Seattle’s city limits than all of SF/San Mateo/Santa Clara counties combined. And it’s all being filled with new, productive workers filling up the jobs that Google, Facebook, Amazon and other companies are opening up here.

At some point we’re reach critical mass and you won’t need to move to Silicon Valley for a great tech job anymore — although I don’t think we’re quite there yet.
