And so it Begins
If you’re reading this blog it means you have given in and decided to watch the World Cup this year. If this is your first time watching the World Cup, welcome to the world. For the next month you will have the pleasure of watching the best countries in the world battle each other for the right to be named world champion. Those who succeed will be solidified as national heroes; they will be remembered for the rest of their life and in their death. For the soccer powerhouses who fail to hoist the trophy, they will return to a weeping nation, no pressure though. For the next month or so I will attempt to accomplish the feat of watching every game in the world cup. Due to the many hours I will be spending in my parent’s basement I have decided to bestow my knowledge on to those less fortunate than me. Since I had a brief stint in one of division three’s toughest soccer conferences, along with my experience on my high school newspaper as a co-sports editor I believe I am somewhat qualified to take on this burden. When the World Cup kicks off an hour, the greatest sporting competition in the world will commence. I will be blogging daily about the matches so stay tuned for more updates.
