The Mental Disease of Late-Stage Capitalism

Hi. I agree with your analysis of the problem. Sharing what is happening to and for us, without shame, is necessary, but not sufficient. It is the foundation of consciousness-raising — which happens in groups in which trust has been built. The solidarity and mutuality required is both a means and an end. It can arise from groups specifically formed for conscioness-raising, or as Benji Mauer states in another comment, can be found by working together in co-operative structures. Co-operative structures are a way of working against capitalism from within capitalism.
