Gorgeous Montana Style Adventures
Since the PSL is live at Starbucks, it seems that fall is officially in full swing. I can’t help but think of all the fun things that are in store for the season. Winters are hideous here in Montana but the fall is genuinely a perfect dream. Below are my favorite activities to partake in during the fall seasons. I hope you find them helpful if you should find yourself in this neck of the woods.

1. Fall Float Down the Bitterroot
With your best buds in tow, choose a place to enter the Bitterroot River. Hop onto your swan raft (Taylor Swift style) or maybe stay traditional. Either way you’ll be in for a leisurely 3ish hour float. The calm river will take you down beautiful rows of changing trees. Their bright orange leaves will slowly float onto your glorious path.

2. Harvesting at Ten Spoon Winery
Every year, Ten Spoon winery has this amazing event where they allow visitors to come help harvest the grapes. You can harvest for as long as you wish and then at the end of the day they have a big feast (for free!) with their famous wines. It’s everything you could ever want.

3. A Hike in the Beartooths
Summer hikes are great but they can be absolutely boiling. Instead, try a trek into the mountains in the early fall which will allow for great views and will still be warm enough to enjoy the beautiful crystal clear water. If you’re a little worried about bears, like me, try a guided hike. Either with a guide or on your own, you’re sure to take in the best of Montana before the dead of winter comes and makes us all go into hibernation.

4. Garnet Ghost Town
It wouldn’t be fall without a little Halloween spookiness. If old deserted towns are your thing, take to Garnet Ghost Town to see the cutest little village. Cross your fingers that no one is around, because the less people you find on the long winding road to the ghost town, the creepier it is! Make sure you bring a tumblr full of hot cocoa and a flannel blanket for the perfect instagram photo.
