The Revolution Will Be Televised (On Delay)

It is frankly shocking to hear that a for profit network is focusing solely on the bottom line and thinking only of the massive earnings potential of their Olympic sized cash cow.

I haven’t been this outraged since I read that Leslie Moonves, the philanthropically inclined chairman of CBS said this about the diminutively handed Republican nominee for president, one Donald Trump: “It May Not Be Good for America, but It’s Damn Good for CBS.”

“I’ve never seen anything like this, and this going to be a very good year for us. Sorry. It’s a terrible thing to say. But, bring it on, Donald. Keep going.”

Next you’re going to tell me that NBA owners are contemplating putting ads on players jerseys? Or that the NFL is actually registered as a tax exempt non profit organization? Will we see the unimpeachable Bob Costas defend such a deplorable decision? Oh wait, that already happened.

This ruthless parade of money-mongering has got to end. We need to band together (like brothers) and Make Networks Great Again.

And it starts with a protest on the Olympics. I hope that every Ringerite reader will join me in boycotting Judo. That’s right, turn your backs on that fan favorite event & lets really show the IOC (and FIFA) that we’re fed up and not going to take this anymore.
