After drowning my sorrows in carbs and beer this past week, I finally went to the bookstore today. I picked up Didion’s The White Album, Bad Feminist by Roxane Gay, and Citizen: An American Lyric by Claudia Rankine. I used to have a Kindle, but I love independent bookstores and have too many screens in my life, so I’m all about paper now.
