The blockchain space is growing exponentially, and many entrepreneurs are eager to test the limits of where this new technology can take us. If you’re one of these pioneers, and are looking to get started with your own crypto project, you’ll probably need an easy way to get others interested and contributing to your great idea. With Boost, a cryptocurrency crowdfunding platform and part of the ELIX app, you can easily get the support and contributions you need. Here’s a step-by-step guide to getting your project off the ground:

That’s all it takes to become a creator on Boost! Sign up to be an Early Creator here. Early Creators help jumpstart the ELIX ecosystem and bring awesome projects to Boost. Early creators will also be occasionally featured on our Twitter, Reddit and other social channels whenever we announce new projects or milestones.

Beta

If you haven’t already, get the Beta of the ELIX app by signing up here. We now have over 1,225 Beta testers signed up. Last week, we added another set of testers. We’re releasing the Beta is the order of signups… so be sure to grab a spot. We plan to release the next build this week — check out the next section for more information.

Upcoming Features

We’re adding a variety of new features to the ELIX app. For example, when browsing projects, completed or finished projects now have badges on project thumbnails showing their status. More details are also shown in the status details section of each project page. Furthermore, the transaction details page now allows the user to open Etherscan to view each transaction. Check out this demo video showcasing these new features:

We’re also working on the Activity feed and Ledger. This past week, we worked primarily on the back end of these features, and this week will be finishing up the front end. We plan to submit the next build with these new features sometime this week. We are also simultaneously testing these new features on the Android build.

Reddit AMA Recap

Last week, we held a Reddit AMA with our community to answer any questions about ELIX. You can check out all the questions and answers here. We talked about our plans for upcoming features, ongoing development and design work, as well as the timeline for app release. Here are a few key takeaways from the AMA:

  1. We’re on track to submit the app to the Apple and Google Play Stores by the end of Q2.
  2. With our new developer Fernando Camargo helping with app development, we’re able to implement and test new features faster.
  3. Devin Smith, our new advisor and the CTO of AE.studio, has been helping us test and improve our app.
  4. Merlin, the official ELIX mascot, is not camera shy.
