This week, we continued work on our smart contracts and mobile application. A number of optimizations have been made to the smart contracts after being tested. The contracts are ready to be linked to the front end of our application to provide an interactive test environment.

New interfaces were made to help users keep records of their previous loan activity. Under the “Active Loans” page, we show information about outgoing and incoming payments. The “Outgoing Payments” sections shows payment amounts, the recipient, and when the payment is due. The “Incoming Payments” section shows the equivalent information for an incoming loan. Both of these views show the number of days left to either pay back the loan, or until the holding period is finished. Under the completed loans page, a user can view more information about a completed loan, including the loan length (converted from block numbers to time) and the reward received. At this stage, we are ready to begin connecting these pages to our MVP contract.

Finally, we are also in the process of working on the algorithm behind the reward function. We will be looking at this thoroughly in the upcoming days, and considering several different scenarios for the reward amounts and the distribution timeline.

In other news, we have also selected a website designer to redesign the website, and expect that process to begin soon. We look forward to sharing the upcoming ELIX website design with our community.
