As the wife of a Vietnam vet still suffering from PTSD a half century later I understand a little bit about your father’s struggles. What manifested in gruesome nightmares has turned into seizures and days of just not being completely there.
The camaraderie of fellow VN vets has helped in some ways but in other ways it has brought out long buried memories that instigate more seizures. It’s a tough word to travel.
So for my husband (also a SoCal son) and your father, a big salute for serving and carrying the load of war for their entire lives.
