I won’t be *that* woman…

We as women have been raised to believe that we are inferior, so much so that we see each other the same way. How many times have I said, to myself and others, “I don’t get along with other women for(insert any reason here)”. Is this because the only way for me to see my value is to hold myself against the standard of the men around me? An if so, why? Because they are inherently better in some way? No. Because that is the hustle. That is the great lie we tell ourselves: I am not all those petty things that OTHER women are. I am one of the GOOD ones. How ridiculous is it to hold ourselves in comparison with a lie?! The strongest people I have ever known were women and I hope that someday all of us can love ourselves and each other enough to see our strength. United, we stand. Divided, we usher our daughters into the same bullshit.
