I’m offended by people that use accusations of racism, sexism, or bigotry to shut down debate, thereby insulting those in the past and present that have actually experienced them.
Okay, so how are you suggesting we approach situations when these things are actually happening? What if the person calling it out is someone who has also experienced them, and that is why they are bringing it up? Do you think they can bring these things up without automatically shutting down debate?
It seems like now we spend much more time debating who is being called racist than considering the source or reason of the behavior in the first place.
