I have lost count of the amount of times I have told men I did not want to interact with them (an interaction of sexual nature that is) and they brushed off my opinion and my stance as me supposedly “playing hard to get”. Brushing off my comments is rooted in misogynistic ideologies where you do not respect me enough to respect my decision, and perceive yours as the only valid one.
