The Female Abuser: Was Amber Heard Planning to Kill Johnny Depp? feat. Jodi Arias, Shayna Hubers & Dalia Dippolito
I’d first heard this accusation being spread by a Johnny Depp vs. Amber Heard trial sleuth sharing information about the case. At first I’d cast the idea off as another click bait topic related to the case by an online vigilante making the most of the current hot topic this trial has become. That’s why it’s strange to me that I sit here now knowing all I’ve learned (all based on factual information from court documents) and wonder… actually, maybe she was planning on killing him?
Let me first begin by saying that I don’t base any of my opinions on anything derived from the media. Part of my paid job is analyzing data and information from reliable sources, disregarding unreliable information, and knowing how to tell the difference. So before any Amber “stans” write my opinion off to buying into popular opinion, don’t bother.
Secondly, Team Amber also need not come for me with the misogyny and/or victim blaming/metoo rhetoric either. I am a female, and I have been abused from the day I entered this world in various forms by various men and a woman. In fact, my mother is an abuser and has traits scarily similar to what I see in Amber. I have male friends who have lost a lot in life due to women like Amber, and over time the red flags start to shine a bit brighter to those who’ve experienced it than to those who haven’t.
As someone who’s experienced horrific abuse first hand, of course I believed Amber immediately when news of her obtaining a protection order came out. Just as when the Bill Cosby and Harvey Weinstein victims came forward, I believed it based on their testimonies and what those victims were saying. As human beings, it’s easy to see when someone is lying and telling the truth because all of us have at some point done both. I believed that since Amber managed to get a protection order in court and Johnny Depp didn’t defend it (which I now know was because he was on tour with his band and had no notice of it, nor would he care to defend it because why would he?) that perhaps it was true, and it was another list of movies I liked that I was now put off and couldn’t watch anymore.
Then I started to see Amber in a different light. It was when she started doing speeches, social media posts and her now infamous article that I realized she was full of excrement. Narcissists often do these things so boldly because they think they can outsmart everyone around them, when in fact they’re not smart at all. Some may go far in life because their grandiose view of themselves is often enough to carry their confidence to a height that makes others think they’re amazing too, but this never lasts long term once you get to know them and the love bombing wears off.
We see a lot of instances where narcissists who are smart on paper do really stupid things. For the purpose of this discussion, let’s hone in on some female cases:
- Dalia Dipplito was an escort living in Florida. One night she met a man called Michael, and he was hooked. He instantly left his wife for the younger, more attractive Dalia that treated him like a king. He didn’t know how he got so lucky, but the relationship would only last a few months. Michael was very wealthy, all their friends said they were perfect together and never argued, and she was always all over him to the point it made others uncomfortable. So it’s hard to believe that during all the fancy trips away and lively get together’s that the sweet, loving Dalia was planting drugs on her husband to get him put in jail. When that didn’t work she started poisoning him with anti-freeze, and when that didn’t work she hired a hitman to kill him. Dalia was a busy lady, because she was also conning Michael into signing a house fully into her name, for what they now know was part of her end game. To add to the insult, she would turn everything on Michael and made him responsible for her happiness. The good news is that the hitman she hired was an undercover police officer and Michael is alive to this day thanks to an ex-boyfriend she recruited for the job having a stroke of conscience. Yes, she also had time to have other men on the side at her beck and call, but only when it served her purpose. In this case though, it’s Michael who gets the last laugh. Of course in court she took no blame and said it was all Michael’s idea. This was a story of a woman who would do anything it took to have the material things in life, and would use men like a rung on her ladder to get to the top.
2. Shayna Hubers was an attractive, highly intelligent young woman (although you wouldn’t say she was intelligent by watching her interrogation video) who had her whole life ahead of her. Instead, she sits in prison for killing her ex-boyfriend. Ryan Poston tried to break up with her and she wouldn’t take no for an answer. One night he was due to go on a date with a new lady he took a liking to, when Shayna showed up at his house. She shot him and then called the police and told them she shot her boyfriend in self-defense. She cried abuse and that story was quickly debunked by law enforcement, and if her interrogation was anything to go by it’s not hard to see why. During questioning she sang happily, spoke to herself, and in a manic tone described the killing as if she was telling her girlfriends about a date she was on, even saying “he was very vain and he wanted a nose job, and that’s where I shot him in the face. I gave him the nose job he wanted”. Of course none of the evidence worked in favor of her self-defense claim, so after firing her original legal team filed an appeal on her sentence with new stories. This is yet another example of a seemingly intellectual, and very attractive woman acting as intellectually as a child and thinking people around them will buy it.
3. Jodi Arias is a woman that every man and every woman with a son needs to go watch right now. Watch all of her interrogation video, media interviews and questioning in her trial. If someone hasn’t had the displeasure of encountering a manipulative woman, Jodi will teach you exactly what one looks like. Jodi had sex with and then killed her ex boyfriend, Travis Alexander, because he broke up with her and couldn’t get rid of her (as proven in countless texts). She snuck into his room and killed him, then took photos with his camera by mistake and left the camera in the clothes dryer. Again, clever on paper but really stupid in practice. She left a long, weird voice message on his phone after he died to throw the police off, then she drove to another man’s house and had sex with him. When she “found out” that Travis had been killed she posted pictures of them together and sympathetic posts on social media, even going as far as to contact his parents and attend the funeral when everyone knew she had done it. When caught out with the images on the camera mid interrogation, she changed her story to say intruders killed him and made her promise not to tell authorities or they’d kill her. Then when that was challenged she claimed - yup you’ve heard it before - abuse. It’s then quite entertaining to watch the trial where she flat out lies and describes these incidents that didn’t occur, along with new accusations her ex was a paedophile (you know, just to really spice it up and throw the jury off). She does this with an incredibly high self-esteem as if everyone around her is lapping up the tear-less, dramatized accounts. She went as far as to awkwardly stare straight at the jury for every animated response, just like Amber Heard, and just like the lady who used to read to the kids at my local library on Thursdays. Luckily, the jury wasn’t as dumb as a narcissist such as herself hoped they’d be and she was put away for a long time. A highlight for me was when during her trial the prosecutor asked how big Travis’ walk-in-wardrobe was, and she responded with “bigger than the cell I live in now”. Naw, brings a tear to my eye.
Okay, so you get the gist of it.
Getting back to Amber now, here’s why I think that Johnny Depp may be lucky that Pirates and Fantastic Beasts was the only things he lost after the misfortune of encountering Ms. Heard. If you look at the evidence that Amber herself has provided, it’s clear that she has been laying the foundations down for some kind of accusatory scenario the whole time she was with Johnny, for example the trivial pictures of him sleeping, pictures of his drugs (that may or may not be hers too), and the little vague comments to people here and there. Maybe you could say to yourself she told the make up artist at the Corden show she did the show with two black eyes because she wanted evidence of the abuse, but then why does she not have any evidence of abuse? The beatings she’s describing in court are as if Johnny Depp is King Kong and she’s just an innocent young girl he threw around the room, beat the crap out of and sexually assaulted with a broken bottle. How is it that the only evidence she has is some strange photos of flushed cheeks and puffy red eyes?
I’m no expert on skin, but I am pale. I can cry for a minute and have red rings around my eyes for an hour. Before you tell me every abuse victim reacts differently, I am talking about the physical impossibility of these injuries not being treated or visible for any breathing human being. Yes, psychological reactions differ person to person, but Amber is not a medical mystery. She’s not superhuman, and the human body is not going to react wildly differently from person to person anatomically.
One day my one-year-old headbutted me in his sleep (see? you can say headbutted without it meaning an intentional headbutt), and I tasted blood so I got up and went to the loo to check the damage. I had a cut lip so I iced it. The next morning I had what looked like a pea-sized purple marble on my bottom lip. That’s from an 8kg one-year-old, and Amber Heard wants us to believe she has perfectly straight little red slit in her lip from a punch to the mouth? A red slit most of us have had at some point from over-confidently tearing off some loose skin on your bottom lip.
More seriously now, I have been punched many times too. I struggle to find sarcasm or humor in discussing this because my feelings head more toward that of blood-boiling rage. I can barely bring myself to type about it, but when Amber sits there and these pathetic photos are shown and she’s describing these horrific, imaginary, thirty-minute plus “attacks”, I think HOW DARE YOU? Every week off school, every week off work, every week I’ve watched my younger brothers and sisters be off school because of injuries from one punch, or one kick, in attacks that lasted mere seconds, and this diabolical lunatic is sitting up there publicly talking about how she had puffy eyes from what sounds like a murder rampage? I can’t explain in words the feelings that go through me when I watch her testify, but I know that I stand in unison with others who’ve gone through the same whilst I sit alone raging at the screen.
So we know the photos are B.S. Then it begs the question, why? Why was she planning this scenario out so early on? I saw some evidence from 2015 (one year before the split) where there were texts between Raquel Pennington, her fiance at the time Josh Drew, and Amber that discussed “doing it” with a knife, and that that may be too easy, and then Amber says that maybe she could actually do it with a knife. They texted as if it was something they’d discussed before and you can tell that by the ambiguity of the conversation and how only those privy to the inside joke will get it. Yes, Paul Bettany and Johnny texted some vile things about Amber relating to the witch trials in Monty Python, but clearly you can’t actually burn someone at a proverbial stake. Also, Johnny sent those texts after Amber destroyed his whole life, Amber’s texts between the three stooges was in the middle of their marriage at a time she had no business talking about killing Johnny off. I’d probably look guilty too if anyone saw what I said about my past abusers.
I’ve always questioned why everyone in that text conversation are the only people that (poorly attempt to) corroborate her series of events. There is her sister Whitney who also attempts some kind of version that doesn’t match anyone else’s or the evidence, but we know already that her motive is fear of her sister and perhaps loyalty. There’s also a drizzle of people who are remaining completely mum and not wanting to get involved at all (HeLoan Musk, James Franco et al.) who I think she knows things about that they’d be uncomfortable with her putting out there for the public to dissect, but not bad enough that they’d commit perjury for her. Then I started to wonder what Amber could possibly have on Raquel and Josh that’s bad enough that these Hollywood nobodies so blindly support her even in this tidal wave of a situation?
When Johnny’s mom died and he called Amber to say he wanted to split up, the cushy and free lavish lifestyles of all those beneficiaries was about to come to an end. Whatever they had planned had to be put in place sooner than expected, they probably didn’t expect Johnny to make the first move. This wasn’t good for the planned narrative.
It makes sense to me that they then needed a Plan B to keep those lifestyles, or at least some form of it. I feel that Plan B was to first lure Johnny back to the apartment for the “main event” where they could try get whatever type of fake evidence they could to close off the deal, then to make sure Amber filed for divorce first - or else all of her “evidence” collecting over the years would be wasted. After all, it’s a bit difficult to claim abuse if you wait for the other party intending to leave you to file for it first - you gotta get in there quick to look legit. Filing for a protection order immediately when he’s not there to defend it would help too (cue reference to Melanie MacGuire who filed for a protection order from her husband a day after she murdered him to make abuse claim look legit), but she’d have wanted to make sure she was at least financially secure enough to maintain her lifestyle. That’s where the legal demands came in, and threat to file a protection order if those financial demands weren’t met.
This result just feels like a bit of an unplanned, sloppy anti-climax to me. I can’t help but wonder what Johnny’s fate was to be if he’d stayed with her for longer, or if his security team didn’t show up unbeknownst to her that fateful night. Was she holding onto these things to lead up to some kind of main event where she could cry self-defense because “look at all the evidence I have and he’s not here to defend it”? It’s not a stretch to entertain the idea that she could be capable of killing him since her own sister told her employer at the time that she thought Amber would kill Johnny on the stairs incident (yes, not the other way around). Note: This is evidence that wasn’t permitted in either trial as it’s considered hearsay. Spare me the “but he lost the UK libel case” B.S. That wasn’t a trial against her, that was a trial against a reporter and the very wealthy newspaper he worked for: a newspaper that already published an article written by a different reporter discussing how corrupt and biased Judge A. Nicol was in favor of the wealthier side. Said unscrupulous judge also continued on to retire months after the Johnny Depp trial. Coincidence? Maybe. But forget the hoo-hah and conspiracies about his connections to Dan Who?tton, just read the reasons for him finding team Amber and nobody else credible - even with her discrepancies he himself highlighted- and the corruption will be in front of your own eyes.
We also know based on the three stooges texts that they were discussing doing “it” with ambiguous knives, and I don’t think they were talking about slicing ham, but let’s assume this is ludicrous and I am totally off on this theory. There’s more! Even though there’s these things here and there that make you think, meh…maybe… there’s one resounding issue I have with all of this that makes me think there was a Plan A, and that it was a sinister plot. Ask yourself, why would you so obviously lie and commit perjury for someone who treats you like crap in a story you stand nothing to gain from? Could it be that perjury is a much lesser crime to be accused of than perhaps solicitation to commit murder, the latter carrying much heavier sentences and very real life-ending consequences? I wish I was wrong with this theory, but I can’t imagine what hold Amber would have over the only people testifying in her corner (rocky especially, jury is still out on Josh) that would make them happy enough to ruin their reputations and any future relationships or career prospects for her sake.
Then think of Plan B, which is what they decided to carry out. Amber says of that night, “why would I not tell the police everything then if I didn’t want to protect him, why did I refuse to speak to them?” Here’s what I think sequentially happened based on the evidence and having worked in law enforcement myself:
- 20 May Johnny’s mother died and with new perspective, he called Amber to finally split up. He was regretful and apologetic, he didn’t want it to come to this nor could he have ever anticipated what she was collecting and capable of.
- Three stooges (Amber, Rocky and Josh) are now worried about leaving their penthouse lifestyle. A new plan was made. Amber called Johnny to the apartment where she could have her “witnesses” in place.
- 21 May Johnny goes to the apartment (with his security waiting outside unbeknownst to Amber). After some arguing, Johnny goes to the fridge far from Amber and she begins the hoax by shouting out loud “stop hitting me Johnny” so that iO T. Wright -who she’s on the phone with - thinks to call the police. His security agrees he needs to get out of there, and he leaves, angry at the futile visit that made no sense.
- It’s not in Amber’s best interest for Johnny to be arrested. She just needs a record of the call for the T.P.O and divorce settlement threats. If Johnny gets locked up and questioned, she has no leverage to make financial demands and the police would quickly establish there was no issue. So it was to her (and the other two stooge’s) benefit to not say anything to the police. However, when the police first came, they looked for damage and there wasn’t any. The police then put the event down to a verbal disagreement. This wasn’t enough leverage to call the lawyer with and begin the threat of exposure to keep the penthouses, car and monthly spousal support. Who cares if a verbal disagreement is exposed? So they thrown some wine bottles around and called the police again. They again said nothing, they didn’t want to implicate Johnny so early in the game, that was for later if he didn’t give in to the threats.
- The next day she then had the ammunition she needed to get her lawyer to send Depp’s team a letter demanding full ownership of Johnny’s car she drove, the three penthouses rent free and monthly spousal support (she says she was entitled to more, and more is what she initially demanded. The beneficiaries? The three stooges). The lawyer cited the “attack where the police were called”, just as Amber planned. That’s all she needed. If a report were filed, this extortionate letter could not have existed. She needed enough “proof” to get money, but not enough that it would get investigated or get her cash cow locked up. She then filed for divorce first because it wouldn’t look legit otherwise.
- Then, 27th May she orchestrated a no-notice TPO application where Johnny wasn’t available to defend it, with TMZ waiting her court room exit at her behest. Her proof? Red faced photos and the phony police phone calls. This was because her financial demands weren’t met, so she needed new leverage, and followed through on her threat. At the same time she organised for the release of the video she took of Johnny slamming cupboard doors - which when you think about it, can every single one of you say you’ve never slammed a door?
- Six days after she last saw him, she had a mysterious mark on her face appear, and then on the 28th May suddenly it was gone in paparazzi photos of the three stooges. Didn’t they all look so happy, as happy as three musketeers that just won the lotto.
- Then, realising she’s milked the cash cow dry already, only got $7 million and she’d lost him for good with the false allegations, arranged ANOTHER meet up, breaking her TRO (clearly not afraid of him). At this meeting Johnny was recording asking her to cut him, because he’d already lost his well-earned and well-deserved reputation as the darling of dark comedy to many. His kids were being targeted as children of the woman abuser, his name had been dragged. What are we without our names? He lost, as he said “nothing short of everything”, and he didn’t understand why. Maybe she thought she could get the cash cow, the only person who bothered with her long enough, and the only person she found that never fought back, to take her back. It failed, and now worse than not getting her way, her ego was now damaged. This is a huge issue for such a personality, and for her lies to continue, she’d need to make new lies. And her we all are, waiting at the end of the snowball to see if it will melt or continue to grow.
Now, the three stooges are no longer friends. This is another red flag to me, a true-crime fiend, since more cases than I can count that involve co-conspirators prove that the relationships never last after the crime they conspired together in had been committed. The crime, or lies, tend to fester within the relationship and they eventually become torn apart by their dirty little secrets. This is a good time to mention though, I am still a bit hung on whether Josh was really part of anything, or just the unquestioning boyfriend with no experience dealing with pure evil, therefore blind to it and believed the accusations. Amber’s defense team stated Amber did have witnesses show up for her, however I was a little disappointed that in rebuttal it wasn’t mentioned that none of their stories, including her expert witnesses, added up to hers. For eg. Josh said Amber hadn’t been heard from in a while which was unusual, he made a big point of this, so Rocky went to check on her. Rocky then testified that Amber messaged her so she went to check on her. How can two people be so certain of two different stories?Another was when the ACLU showed email proof in her words that Elon’s donations were to be put towards her total pledge, then in her own words again just days ago she testified that his donations “in honour of her” were NOT part of her pledge. This was another missed opportunity in the closing arguments, I wish there was more time spent on tying the discrepancies up for a jury who is now left with a plethora of nonsense to sieve through and try to remember. But, to show every single one of Amber’s witnesses discrepancies compared to her stories, including her own discrepancies compared to her previous stories, would be a whole other article. So, moving on…
I’ve spent a lot of time watching this case. I’ve signed the Aquaman 2 petition. I’ve raged away on the Twittersphere. I’ve been asked what the big deal is, it’s just celebrities hashing it out in public? But it’s not. This case is so important. Never before has someone so publicly been called out for life-ruining false accusations. We, the little people, are all vulnerable in some way to manipulation, abuse, and/or scorned lovers trying to ruin us. Regardless of your gender, this case is a call out on behalf of us little people on an epic scale. The success of this case would perhaps deter anyone, male or female, from making false accusations. It may give hope to those who have fallen victim to false accusations, even if that’s just to say “you’re not alone, someone ruined me too.” For male victims of abuse in particular, maybe the public standing firmly with Johnny Depp can show them it’s okay to hurt too, it’s okay to fight back too, it’s okay to charge your abuser too, you can be believed too. This case isn’t just Johnny Depp’s case, it’s everyone’s case.
I finish off by confirming that whether Plan A existed or not is unknown, or perhaps Plan B was a result of the three stooges not banking on Johnny’s security team showing up that pre-planned evening. Maybe they had much more in store for him that night after the vague, fake pre-organised police phone calls (feat. “Gone Girl” with a sprinkle of “Enough” with JLo anyone?). What we do know is Amber is someone who thinks they’re clever, but ultimately it’s this ego and arrogance that will be her downfall. At this stage she looks less believable than a toddler that stole the biscuit. She thinks that she can blame anything wrong that’s happened to her on misogyny, homophobia, media, Depp fandom etc etc. No, Amber, maybe it’s just that you’re not as smart as you think you are.
