WHAT IS THE ART OF SELLING you might ask and why do you need to master the art of selling in order to be successful in your business.

  • When I first started my business, I didn’t know much about selling. Even thou I engaged in small scale buying and selling back in high school, i knew that coming into the big market that I needed to be professional and learn a lot this time in order to create the type of finances that i wanted.

What is the ART OF SELLING?

It’s simply the ability to diagnose a problem and find the best solution by creating a relationship in order to co-create the solution with the customer. Mastering the art of selling is everything about the method and how you engage in selling.

Below are 5 basic art of selling that has helped me in my business.

1, GET YOUR MONEY MINDSET RIGHT.

First thing you need to get right is your financial mindset, you need to set your mindset to where you actually want and deserve to be. If you are someone who still believes in settling for average, then you are not ready for the game.

You need to level up your money mindset. You can’t settle for less if you have the potential of making money in a business.

Having a dream or setting a financial goal will build up your hunger to learn more because if you are happy or okay with your finances, why would you even want to sale anything at the first place right? And this hunger or mindset is what will push you into learn how to sell and build your business. Get passionate.

2. GET ATTENTION

When I started my home based business , I didn’t have any social media following. I couldn’t access my facebook account because I forgot the password but I had to recover it and got it up and running. I didn’t know how to use social media to sell, but all I had was the mindset to succeed no matter what and that mindset pushed me to learning how to grow leads and build followers online.

Most people want more money but are not willing to do what it takes to get more money, just like most people want to go to heaven but no one wants to die 😀.

So, if you need to create sales and make money, you need to go to a market place and create attention and grow your leads so you don’t have to run out of people who would be interested. You need to get known, show yourself and attract people to yourself and what you do. Be visible! Both online and offline

3, MIX UP STRATEGIES

You need to have different method of selling, if you are selling online, this doesn’t mean you will ignore the other methods of selling like one on one meetings which is the traditional retail visits, text messages and referrals by family and friends or influencers etc.

4, PRACTICE , UP YOUR SKILL AND BE CREATIVE.

You need to practice a lot, the more you go out. and face your objections and challenges , the more you learn how to tackle them. A good sales man knows that it’s not about how many times you failed but the one time you succeed. Be creative in your development as you up your skills.

5, CONTROL THE COMMUNICATION

Be logical and structured in your sales call or conversations, be respectful, be enthusiastic, be memorable. What’s your tonality , what’s your voice like? Be understanding and know what your client wants and make them see the advantages of what they are trying to own. And use third party, be interesting enough and show example by third party stories. Be efficient and deliver valid information. You might need a structured script or a format to run through in order to control the communication. So you control the communication, change the conversation, hook the customer in, ask specific questions that meets customer needs, create enough interests, CLOSE. If you are in control of the conversation you will absolutely know when to close .

These here are 5 basic tips I have learnt over time on the art of selling and I believe it’s a basic start for anyone who wants to start mastering the art of selling.
