Constant Growth vs. Consistent Growth
17
I used to think that constant growth was impossible. But it turns out I confused two things that are better not confused. You can witness the concept of growth everywhere in nature. A plant that is not growing will die. As long as a plant is growing it will continue to produce fruits. But…
Constant vs Consistent
I confused “constant” with “consistent”. If you try to grow constantly you will end up destroying everything around you just like cancer does (so constant growth IS POSSIBLE — but DANGEROUS)! If you commit to consistent growth you will be able to establish a healthy balance that will lead to happiness, success, and freedom.
The Seasons
I focused on constant growth without acknowledging the seasons. You need to know when to grow and when to harvest. There is a little secret that made the AHA moment for me. It doesn´t matter how many hours you grind and work on something. When you don´t produce fruits, it´s worthless.
You gotta allow yourself to recognize the seasons of spring where you have to start putting the seeds into FRUITFUL soil. Staying consistent until your seeds grow into a strong and healthy plant in the summer.
Still not done yet! Keep being consistent and you will come the autumn where you will actually be able to harvest the fruits.
And after the harvest, you NEED to replenish yourself/the soil in the wintertime. You need to pour into yourself again knowledge, vitamins, vacation, anything that will make you replenish and grow stronger for the next season with its UPGRADED obstacles and challenges.
The process of being productive is simple but again not easy. Not easy to apply. Not easy to give up those old habits that still keep you scattered and distracted.
Not easy to establish that consistent flow of creativity and productivity that will make you feel proud. Creating a schedule that will consider your inner clock, the seasons, your personality type, your learning type, your productivity type, etc.
What needs to happen for you to feel proud of yourself?
When was the last time you were proud of yourself?
How did you do it?
How did you not give up but chose to push through?
Let me know in the comments! ✍
Stay tuned for the next story tomorrow.
Much LOVE + SUCCESS 💕
