This is indeed a quandary! Political leaders cannot stop every problem but they are, in the GREAT Jerry Brown’s case, and other KEFT progressive Dems in it for compassionate reasons! I envision a day when we can create a way to convert sun and wind energy into a NON dangerous type of reactor- because: Japan… Because Chernobyl … because 3 mile Island ….. And lastly those fault lines don’t do a thing for our and our kids lives in our beloved Blue and Progressive State. In the meantime though…. We cannot live in a hippie fantasy world …. The reactor needs more regulatory checks… but it must continue at least until 2024… but hold UP as far as 2040… ( the most important thing is to slowly stop the fossil fuel and natural gas — coal industry….. It’s time is almost up… coal mining has long cost the coal miners their lungs and life…. Yet even now they are rightfully angry that the coal mining industry is ending… because no body has taken time to explain things to them… instead cynical right wingers just USE THEIR CONFUSION…just sad. Perhaps free re education would work… reduce anger and fundamentalist rage….Wars being fought are another problem. One thing at a time…. )
