Great points! As a leader in a really niche business (floral design services using only locally grown flowers) I have people come to me all the time looking for busie as advice. Often they want to start a business offering all of the same services I offer right out of the gate. It took 9 years and counting to build a business that could offer a wide range of services including weddings and events, corporate events, classes, single orders, a CSA and more. But no one has the patience! When I tell them how long it has taken and the process to get there, I see the disbelief and disappointment on their faces. Everyone wants everything NOW! I love the grind too that’s why my company has staying power. But you can’t teach patience. And you can’t teach people to Love the grind. And no matter how often we discuss it, it doesn’t matter how many likes you get if you aren’t making money.
