Screenplay Practice №1
INT. VICTORIAN MANOR–SUNRISE
CAMERA on Gothic window, light streaming through panes. Quiet.
BRONWYNN (O.S.) “The sunlight seemed to know what was to come, as it did not hold it’s usual foreboding tone… today was brighter, lighter in weight… truly prettier, I think.”
CAMERA follows the body of a woman in dressing gown as she walks through the hall. Silk of the dress brushes against table and chair legs. Music lightens.
CAMERA shows sliding on a riding coat; shows fastening buttons; shows tightening boot buckles. CAMERA follows woman’s gaze through large window, to misty mountains. Birds fly from LEFT to RIGHT. Locked CAMERA position. No pan.
INT. VICTORIAN STABLE–EARLY MORNING

BRONWYNN (O.S.) “Varacion was eager to ride that morning and needed not one bit of convincing as I saddled him. Funny enough, I did not lead him out either;”
EXT. VICTORIAN STABLE–EARLY MORNING
Bronwynn (O.S.) “…he merely followed as I walked.”
EXT. LARGE LANDSCAPE, DEWY ENGLISH FIELD, MOUNTAINS IN BACKGROUND–EARLY MORNING

Bronwynn (tone is defeated, with humor) “Today I marry again. Not for love, this time… and I doubt I need to explain why, I presume you might already know… so I’ll skip the sorrow…”
Beat.
Bronwynn “I continue my path to follow your footsteps, though short in term of rule, you were a great man. Dedicated to us… forever wise and stubborn in your resolve for things you believed in. You were strong.”
Bronwynn (quieter, almost a whisper) “I’d like to be as strong as you were…”
CAMERA pulls out, and pans away from statue and Bronwynn, moving backwards and out of the mausoleum.

Just some quick practice of converting something I wrote to a screenplay. Thoughts are welcome.
and then I realised, I gazed at those eyes that would bring me so much joy, and I thought:
“What peace.”
