To my Mom and Dad
To my Mom who has remained ever vigilant in the charge of keeping me on the right path; for steering me back on when I’ve veered off the road; for raising an independent woman.
To my Dad who has always given me the time to learn and listened when I needed you to; for always checking in on me and making sure I let people “lie in their suckédness.”
To my parents who have both worked to support our family, together. To my parents who have always encouraged my brother and I to reach our dreams; but always reminded us to stay grounded.
To my dad who has supported my mother’s artwork: her artistic mind, her creative process, and her ever expanding horizons.
To my mom who has stood by my father’s diverse portfolio of work. Understanding the choice of twenty-five years past of family over a career.
To my parents, a union: for better or for worse. Never stop chasing your dreams, and remember: the goal is to reach the end of the ride screaming, “Woo, what a ride!” And, how beautiful to be able to do that, take the entire ride, with your best friend.
