You are powerful, beautiful and absolutely right. My favorite quote is one by Cornel West: “Justice is what love looks like in public.” As a society it’s clear and obvious we are not there. We do not have a society full of love and justice. I’m an active anti-racist and I hear your truth, I hear your anger. As a member of our human community I will love you and your husband and your son and I will teach my son and my family to love and respect your family and other families because we share the beauty of being a valued and important member of our shared humanity. I will speak up when I hear, see, or feel injustice. Because yes, you deserve better. You deserve more. Yes. Yes. Yes.
