So you tell yourself you’re going to write everyday.

You tell yourself every morning to make sure you write something, anything.

When you fall asleep every night you make sure to whisper to your half asleep self that you have to write.

The middle of the day when you’re eating lunch at work, you need to write.

Rolling the windows down in your car when the heat is too much to bear, you better write.

Everyday every few minutes you have a reminder. To write.

But when it comes down to it you never do.

You have to hold yourself accountable.

Make sure that you know this is what you want to do, and the only person stopping you is yourself.

You have to write.

You have to take that pen out of your bag, pull out some paper.

Take the computer off your desk, touch those keys.

Take out your phone and make those thumbs take care of it for you.

You have to make sure you write, you are in charge of your words, in charge of if they ever come out of your mind. If they ever make it out into the world. To make sure you share what you want to say.

You.

And only you.
