How to Root Your Samsung Galaxy S5

Then turn of your Galaxy S5 and press the volume down, power and home button together until the screen comes up. Then press the volume up button to continue and connect the device to your computer via USB. Then just make sure that in Odin re-partition is not checked in. After this just click on the start button and then wait for restart your device automatically.
If you want to root Galaxy S5 of AT&T and Verizon versions then first go to the Settings option where you can find Security and then click on it and then make sure that installation from Unknown sources is allowed. Then go to TowelRoot.com on your device, click on the Lambda that will be appearing at the center of the screen. Then there will a download option and then press Ok to download the file and after installation open it. Then press Make it ra1n and then install SuperSu from Play Store and then open it from your device. You can also download Root Checker from Play Store to see whether rooting is properly done or not.
