I really appreciate that you went to such great lengths to get your female character right. I read mostly female authors because so many “white, middle aged males” seem to forget that we may have a completely different perspective. They forget that in order to write a character that is so different from themselves means you need to see the world through a different lense. This is especially true when writing from the perspective of a young person.

I have an insatiable love of YA novels, especially in dystopian worlds. There is so much courage, self doubt, determination and beauty. I always feel as if my future is in good hands. These young people are going to change the world in ways we never would have thought of. I can’t wait to watch it unfold.
