Hi, Lisa. You are quite right, we are all guilty of acting like the world owes us… I also had an experience where a white male scolded a black male because he was waiting for his beer. And yes, I should have said something to the white male, but didn’t, mostly out of fear of probably being attacked, literally. I saw the hurt on this soft-spoken, well-mannered black male’s face, and decided to speak to the black male afterwards. You know what he said? No, it’s okay…the customer is always right. My heart bled…
